はじめに

毒性病理組織所見の世界的標準として使用されている用語集としては、STPのINHANDやFDAの医薬品申請時のSEND(Controlled Terminology)がありますが、両者には一致していない部分もあり、継続的な追加・改善が行われています。現在、JSTPメンバーが所属する研究機関で通常使用される所見用語については、INHANDやSEND用語に従って記載しているものの、施設間やパソロジスト間で不統一がみられます。そこで、JSTP国際用語委員会では、INHAND・SEND・新毒性病理組織学の用語を基にして、JSTP会員からも意見を募集し、通常の毒性試験で使用する頻度の高い用語を常用所見リスト（Common Finding List）として以下のようにまとめました。
1) 常用所見はFinding（所見）とModifier（修飾語）に分けて記載しました。
2) Finding（所見）はSEND・INHAND共通用語は紫、SEND用語は緑、INHAND用語は黄色、新毒性病理組織学及び委員会提案用語は黒色で記載しました。この色分けはSEND用語への変換や所見の選択の際に役立つと考えています。
3) Modifier（修飾語）はよく使われる部位名や形容詞の代表例を挙げてました。
今後も国際用語委員会ではINHANDやSENDの改定内容及び会員の意見を反映させながらリストをアップデートしていく予定です。		The International Harmonization of Nomenclature and Diagnostic Criteria (INHAND) and the Standard for Exchange of Nonclinical Data Controlled Terminology (SEND CT) are two major global standards for toxicologic histopathological terminology. There are many terms that differ between INHAND and SEND CT, leaving facilities and pathologists to face the challenge of choosing the correct terms for pathological examinations. Therefore, the JSTP international terminology committee has generated a common pathological finding list that incorporates terms from INHAND, SEND CT, the Japanese New Toxicologic Histopathology textbook, and also includes JSTP members’ tremendous contributions.
In this presentation, we introduce the common finding list for rodents (for toxicity and carcinogenicity studies). The features of the list are 1) A searchable excel file and you can find terms at the columns of “Finding(s)” and “Modifier(s)” for each organ, 2) Each term in “Finding(s)” column is highlighted with colors according to the sources, such as purple for common SEND and INHAND terms, green for SEND terms, yellow for INHAND terms and black for New Toxicologic Histopathology or JSTP members recommendation, 3) “Modifier(s)” column includes the common regions or typical adjectives. This Toxic Pathology Common Finding List will be helpful for pathologists in preparation of SEND report or the routine work. Our goal is to streamline, clarify, publish, and maintain an updated list for our members and the public.
